According to the Quote Investigator, the earliest attribution of this aphorism to Henry Ford appeared in the Reader's Digest in September 1947 - five months after Ford's death. This doesn't necessarily mean it's wrong, but as the Reader's Digest didn't provide any source information it must be highly suspect.
Wikiquote doesn't even list this 'quote' - not even to discredit it.
